Well, that looks a bit familiar, yes? It’s not the final one either. I still didn’t like it, even after painting over the lighter version.
So i painted over it again.
It looks quite dark, but it’s pretty close to the same blue as above – possibly even lighter. Amazing how much difference natural light makes.
I fixed the lettering by using stamps (vastly improved it) and got rid of most of the lyrics.
Just keeping a few of the favorite lines…
I like it now. A fitting beginning to a magical December!

You can’t see them in the picture very well, but there are lots of pretty blue, silver, & white snowflakes all over the pages. I love the titles, but I’m just not sure about this page….. It needs more dark.
There are a few things about it that I love, however.
This was surrounded by snowflakes, and had an attempt at the word SNOW after it, but the stamps, ink & pearlescent powders weren’t being my friend.
I also rather liked how the titles came out. A lot. Again, they were stamped with snowflakes, but they just weren’t showing up very well.
I originally had written this in silver, but (again) on the light background, it just wasn’t readable.
The silver pine cones are fun though, aren’t they?
This is very much a work in progress, but then, aren’t we all?
I promise it’s not that yellow in real life! I’ve since added some teal & blue to it, which helped a great deal. It’s still not done though. Patience… I know.
