I’ve been trying to figure out what to do on a journal page with stamped circles.
I wasn’t really coming up with anything.
So I decided to cover a page with circles to attack at a later time. I had some leftover paint from the mountain on the sunrise, so I dipped an old starbucks cup in it & stamped away on a blank journal page or two.
I left it to dry while I went about my day, and didn’t think about it once.
Since everyone keeps talking about neocolor crayons, I thought I’d stop in the local art supply store to see if they carried them (our local big box stores don’t). They didn’t, but she had some water soluble oil pastels, and I figured they would do about the same thing.
I got home & was trying to figure out what to do with them when I say that page covered in black circles….
Basic black circles no more!
But I didn’t want just colored circles….. they needed words. Or letters. Or SOMEthing inside.
Google & Pinterest gave me lots of ideas, but then I thought about how many circles I had… 11 (at the time)
And I thought about Doctor Who.
And about how the 1st 11 doctors each had some word or phrase that they were known for.
And I decided that the War Doctor had a phrase too.
Capaldi, apparently, doesn’t want or need a catchphrase, but I gave him one anyway (based on his first few episodes).
And then it needed to have more blue, so I pulled out the Prussian Blue Hue acrylic ink that I picked up on clearance at Hobby Lobby on Saturday. I think it’s my new favorite color!
So, here you have it. Can you match up the word or phrase with the Doctor that said it?
Also, the circle thing was for another Daisy Yellow prompt – the Daily Paper Prompt #47 – stamping circles.
What? I REALLY needed to take a break from the appraisal terms. Oy.
